Our Mission
Support communities to achieve positive change through capacity-building, strengthening resilience, and developing long-term partnerships and collaboration.
The Cobra Collective CIC is a UK registered non-profit organisation launched in 2016 with an international membership comprised of diverse gender, ethnic and career profiles who share the same commitment towards social and environmental justice.We work with under-represented groups to co-design and deliver participatory research and training, creating spaces for dialogue,and developing long-term partnerships and collaborations. We take a transdisciplinary and systemic lens to tackle the root causes of inequality, feelings of helplessness and environmental degradation and foster long-term community-led engagement to identify, promote and strengthen solutions that are already present within communities - building community self-belief, confidence and resilience. We use accessible technologies to build capacity and agency, specialising in participatory video, photography and mapping, thus allowing communities to develop and control their own narratives, data and decision-making.
