Julia is a transdisciplinary ocean scientist with a background in marine biology and participatory methods. Dey completed deir BSc(Hons) at Edinburgh Napier University and obtained a Master in Management of marine biological resources through the international IMBRSea Erasmus Mundus programme in 2020. Since then, dey have been working as a consultant on a range of participatory capacity building, storytelling and ArtScience projects. Currently, Julia coordinates the ‘interactive World Ocean’ project at the German Marine Research Alliance to create a digital touchscreen-based map of the Ocean for schools and museums. Julia is interested in fostering a community of practice around Ocean ArtScience to promote transdisciplinary collaboration and collectively develop visions of a range of possible shared futures.
